Bitter Creek Western Railroad 09/23/07

The privately-owned Bitter Creek Western Railroad in Nipomo opens its gates to the general public as a fundraiser for the Santa Maria Valley Railroad Historical Museum twice a year. For the price of admission, attendees get treated to a Santa Maria Style barbecue and unlimited train rides for the day. The property covers 10 acres and the 7.5" guage tracks go over bridges, trestles and through tunnels. The landscaping is just as detailed as the many "scenes" throughout the property. We're not sure who has more fun: the little kids or the big kids. Guess we'll have to keep coming back to figure it out.
